Behavior Management System
In our classroom we will be using a clip chart. Having a clip chart in the classroom encourages students to self-monitor their behavior. A clip chart acknowledges students for positive classroom behavior and also gives students a sense of accomplishment when good behavior choices are made.
Each student will have a clothespin on the clip chart. Every morning, everyone will begin on “Ready For An Adventure.” Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to move their clip up or down on the behavior chart depending on their classroom behavior. At the end of the day, students will color the date on their monthly calendar that will be in their folder according to where they are on the clip chart. At the end of the month, students who had 3 or less yellow colored days on the calendar will be given a reward of picking from the prize box.
